Welcome to Mary's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.   As many of you know, Mary is fighting her second round of Guillain Barre Syndrome within the last 8 months.  She was released from Integris Jim Thorpe in mid July and worked hard at rehabilitation until she was able to resume her normal life as before.  She had a scheduled appointment with her neurologist on Friday, October 20 and he was very pleased with her MRI and blood work.  By Monday morning, October 23rd, Mary was back in the hospital with paralysis in her legs.  As of November 8, Mary is paralyzed from her neck down and has been in ICU for several days.  During the last few days she has had a tracheotomy and a PEG tube to help with her breathing and nourishment.   Please note we are NOT requesting financial donations for Mary's care.  The "donate to CaringBridge" is a bit confusing and intended for those who would like to donate to CaringBridge, a nonprofit organization.  We appreciate your prayers, support and words of hope and encouragement.

CaringBridge is a nonprofit social network dedicated to helping family and friends communicate with and support loved ones during a health journey. Learn more about CaringBridge.
