Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.  It is very difficult to update everyone every day. We are hoping that this will help. Teen and I (Traci) will both take turns updating.

Mary had emergency surgery last Wednesday night October 21 to remove her colon. It had been giving her problems for several weeks off and on, and was inflamed and infected. The doctors at West Florida Hospital performed an eliostomy. It took her several days to come out of the anesthesia, she went into A-Fib, her kidneys took a big hit, and today, Thursday October 29, she was moved out of ICU. A big step, but her team of caretakers also confirmed that she has had several mini strokes in the last week. She understands us completely, and can answer questions, but we can not always completely understand her, which of course makes her give us a face, or roll her eyes! She lights up when we or Emily or my dad or some family friends  come into the room, but she REALLY smiles when her favorite doctor (who’s originally from NY) comes in and says hi to her!!

We would love for you to keep up with us here. Please share the link with anyone who we haven’t been able to reach. Love you all and keep up the prayers!!!
