Mary Callahan

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using this as a way to keep family and friends updated in one place. Since her diagnosis last Friday, Mary and Mike have tried to contact everyone personally; however, this is overwhelming and impossible to keep up with. They (and we, the family) are SO LUCKY to have such a dedicated, thoughtful, and strong support system.  We will post periodic updates to this site in order to attempt to keep everyone informed about Mary's journey.  We know there are so many people that are concerned, want be kept in the loop and help in any way they can. Thank you ahead of time for that. At this point, what Mary needs most are PRAYERS!!!  


For those of you that may not be fully aware of the most recent events, Mary was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer in her brain on Friday, 1/12/18. After a long weekend of waiting and wondering, they were able to see her oncologist Dr. Morris on Monday, 1/15/18, and develop a plan of action. Mary had her first radiation treatment on Thursday, 1/18/18, and will have a total of 10 treatments on consecutive week days. After having a mammogram and a complete body PET Scan on Thursday, one spot was also discovered on her right lung which will be 
biopsied this coming Tuesday. Depending on the results of the biopsy, further treatment will be discussed. 


Mary, Mike, and Patrick are so appreciative of all the offers of help.  As opposed to inundating them with text messages and phone calls, please use this site to send your well wishes, thoughts and words of encouragement and support. Those words will be an integral part of Mary's treatment and much appreciated by Mary, Mike, Patrick, and the whole family.
