Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. If you're a new friend or don't know Mary very well, here is a little bit of her story.
About 5 years ago Mary found out that she was in Stage 4 kidney failure. The usual wait time for kidney patients with Mary's blood type is about 7 to 8 years. She was on the national kidney transplant list for 4 ½ years and during that time Mary was never on dialysis. Strongly relying on her faith, she knew she would get a new kidney and it was only by the grace of God that Mary reached the top of the transplant list and a perfect kidney match was made. With her new kidney, Mary will be on medication for the rest of her life, but she is so excited for this next chapter. Being able to run after and play with her grandkids is something she is looking forward to as well. Mary described her feelings of being overjoyed, filled with such excitement, and blessed especially for the love and support from so many family and friends.
