Mary Bowes Buchanan

Mary began experiencing frequent back pain in June.  The pain continued throughout this summer and began to interfere with her activity and appetite. She began seeing her doctor who initially diagnosed mild stenosis and arthritis - then started experimenting with medications ordered by the doctor - different anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxants without consistent relief.  She was referred to a pain doctor who also ordered meds, PT and finally an MRI.
On 8/22/20 Mary's pain was so severe she was admitted to St. Luke's South hospital.
On 8/24/20 Mary was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in her spine,pelvis,ribs and liver; a new unwelcome chapter of life.
