Mary is a strong, active, independent mother and grandmother. She has survived breast cancer, a cerebral aneurysm , and several strokes over the last 15 years. She has been a friendly face in the deli at Lunds in Highland Park for many years.
Sunday June 4th, Mary suffered a serious stroke in her home. She spent the next 7 days at St.Joes, surrounded by friends and family. We have moved her now to Sholom Home to begin her therapy, in hopes of getting her home.
The stroke was very serious, and left mom paralyzed on her right side. Her ability to speak has been greatly reduced, making communication very challenging. She has a long road ahead of her, but she is strong, and very determined to regain her independence.
