Dear Family and Friends,
My mom’s journey started on Sunday, November 12th when I found her in her apartment unable to move and trapped between the couch and coffee table. She had been stuck there for over 24 hours and was still breathing but unable to speak. After calling 911, they rushed her to North Memorial where she spent 6 days in the ICU. She had a stroke but they were unable to determine where the bleed originated. A contributing factor could have been due to her extremely high INR levels, which means her blood was extremely thin. She had been taking Coumadin for over a year and seeing the doctor couple times a month. She also suffers from Atrial fibrillation.
She has lost movement of her left arm and left leg and has a really bad wound on her left leg as well as other bruises on her back and arms. She makes good eye contact and tries to respond but has difficulty finding the right words. She tires easily.
As of 12/18/2017 she will be located: Augustana Chapel View Care Ctr 615 Minnetonka Mills Road Hopkins, MN 55343 Phone: (952) 938-2761
