Mary gave us permission to start this site. She is coming home from the hospital this afternoon and hospice will be here later today. On Friday, after a few days of not being able to breathe as easily as usual, she went to the emergency room. She was admitted later that night to help stabilize her breathing and for a little testing. Unfortunately, those tests showed that her lung cancer is growing and has spread from her right lung into her left lung. With so much lung disease already, her primary care and her lung doc told her that treatment isn't an option. They suggested hospice. We knew this day was coming and it makes it no less of a shock when it arrives. Mary rallied like the trooper she is, and has committed to coming home. She arrives around 3pm. 


We have no idea what Mary's new normal looks like. We will keep everyone posted.
