As some of you know, Marty is currently in the Hospital. Two nights ago, she fell at her home and hit her head, leaving her unconscious. Luckily Zoe (Marty’s granddaughter) stopped by that night and called an ambulance. She was sent to the ICU.

Marty has had cat scans done and is having her blood pressure monitored. She had to get 11 staples in the back of her head. She has some internal bleeding in the front and parietal parts in her brain due to the fracture in her skull. No surgery is foreseen to be needed, and Marty is planned on being moved to a rehab facility as soon as a bed is open.

Marty is a little confused still, but has talked, eaten, and walked with assistance since arriving at the hospital. She sleeps a majority of the day as well.

Zoe and I (Ellen-Marty’s granddaughter) will continue to update you all through Caring Bridge as often as we are able. Please keep Marty in your thoughts and prayers as she has a long road ahead of her. Thanks so much
