Dad and Jamie were on their way to Townsend, Tennessee when dad stepped onto a curb, lost his balance and broke his hip. April 16th he had total right hip replacement. He had then gotten an infection and was put on antibiotics. He then got pneumonia and pushed his progress back. As he is recovering from the 1st bout he got thrush, His blood pressure was dangerously low, he then gets pneumonia again. Hes lost close to 50 lbs since his first weigh in at hospital. He is in a Transitional Care Center in Maryville, Tennessee for the time being as we are working on getting him out of there for his journey back home. Today he had an amazing day. At this point in time the family does not know how long he will be there. He needs to get his strength back, and needs his blood pressure to be stable. It is close to 18 hour drive back home. We are trying to figure out if ambulance will bring him home, if it's a option. Or if he can travel at all. It's been advised that he does not travel because of his health right now. I will do my best at keeping everyone updated on his progress. It has been a neverending battle on our end trying to get things into place for when he does come home.
