We've created this CaringBridge site to keep friends and family updated. Dad was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer, glioblastoma, in October 2015 after experiencing a grand mal seizure. Mom and Dad were in the process of moving from the farm in Columbus to their new house in Thief River Falls, MN just down the road from their two granddaughters.

Dad had surgery to remove his tumor in November at the University of Minnesota. His neurosurgeon was able to successfully remove all visible traces of the tumor. Dad began a combination of radiation and chemotherapy treatments for six weeks at Altru Cancer Center in Grand Forks, ND. This was followed by several courses of chemo pills at a higher dosage this winter and spring. Unfortunately, his tumor returned and is no longer responding to treatment.
