Marlene Kerner (Miyasato, Ha'o) Marlene Miyasato (Kerner)

Mom has been in the Pearl City Nursing Home, 407A,  for a couple of months now. She is not recovering as quickly as we would like to see.  I have set up this site because I believe that it is paramount that my brother, Blaine, be given a break immediately.  It has become too much for him to be at the rehab center 3 times a day while working full-time under incredible stress.  Both me and our brother are not in Hawaii to help. I am setting up this site to see if you can help us.  I am asking that you please check your schedule and see if you can be with mom during either the breakfast, lunch or dinner hour to help mom eat. Mom is not able to eat satisfactory as she is right handed and the stroke has affected her right side.  Blaine has been consistently going to ensure she is eating by hand feeding her.  Blaine has been a great care-giver but he is at the point of suffering burn-out.  I wish I could be there (I am coming again on the 9th November) but feel Blaine needs an immediate break.  Can you please think about helping us out?  Generally you would be with mom for about 45 minutes, M-F 8am, 12 pm, or 5 pm.   Meals are generally served around this time.  Weekdays are the most important as Blaine is very busy wit his work with meetings and scheduling conflicts.
