In October 2014, Mom was diagnosed with Parotid Cancer, Carotid Tumor and Severe Osteoporosis. She chose not to seek treatment. At the time there was a small lump on the back of her ear.
In September 2017 Kim visited Mom. The lump had grown to the size of a quarter.
In February 2018 Sherry and I visited Mom in Laughlin NV. We were shocked by the growth of the tumor over the past several months. Her ear had grown to the size of a fist and the tumor is a solid hard mass that is equivalent in size under the skin. We took her to Western Arizona Medical Center in Bullhead City, AZ. We were told the cancer is terminal and she had approximately 6 months to live. Mom decided against coming back to Michigan for treatment and Sherry and I returned Saturday night, March 3rd.
When our plane landed, we had messages from Mom, Kim and Keith stating Mom was in the hospital in Las Vegas. Her ear began bleeding and she couldn't stop it. She called 911 and was transported to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas.
