On June 5,2020 our entire world was forever changed! I was diagnosed with stage IV recital cancer that spread to my liver. Covid did not make the diagnosis easy to get and I spent many appointments alone receiving devastating news. I went through months of chemo, short course radiation, a Y90 procedure and a few surgeries. February 25, 2021 we got word that all margins were clear and all looked good. Clean up chemo was not needed. As one could imagine we were elated and shared the awesome news with anyone who would listen. Sadly that news was short lived. A week after my mom passed away I called my doctor to report some back pain I was having. I assumed it was muscle related due to stress and wearing high heeled shoes that I have not worn in quite some time. Unfortunately, the scans my oncologist ordered proved otherwise. My cancer had returned and spread to many other areas, the worst being my spine. This found me doing some more radiation and chemo. My cancer is now considered advanced to terminal. The doctors say 12-18 months is about what I have left from the time of diagnosis! I pray that is not true and hope to prove them wrong!!
Please please get your colonoscopies!! Love each day to its fullest and be kind💙
