This past week, Mark learned he has Stage 4 metastatic bladder cancer. Sadly, there is no cure and it is inoperable. Although this is obviously devastating news, he is in good spirits and ready to begin the fight to slow this nasty disease. He will be starting chemo on Oct 30th. Following the chemo, they will take bone scans in order to determine if the chemo is slowing the spread. He and his doctors are also going to contact Mayo Clinic to find out if he is a candidate for any possible clinical trials in progress. We will update this site as his treatment progresses. Please keep Mark and Annette in your thoughts and prayers.
