On June 24, Mark turned the big 50, and had a colonoscopy completed five days later. When the doctor came to review the results with Mark and his wife Rachel, he had some troubling news; cancer had been found. Two days later Mark was already meeting with a cancer doctor and surgeon. Mark has had lots of blood work, PET scans, and MRI's to give the doctors further insight.
Mark has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer. While this is a very difficult time for Mark and his family, he is determined to beat this cancer.
