Welcome to our CaringBridge site. On November 6, 2014 Mark was hit by a vehicle while riding his motorcycle here in Torrance.  His injuries were extensive to include a broken femur, crushed pelvis and hip fracture, loss of his spleen and a below the knee amputation on the left side.  He also sustained a brachial plexus nerve root avulsion injury on the left which has paralyzed his arm and hand.  After some outstanding trauma work at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, led by Dr. Scott Bricker, most of Mark's injuries were repaired and he has begun his recovery.

We created this site keep our friends and family updated on Mark's accident, treatment and recovery. We appreciate your prayers, support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.  We are so very grateful for all of your generous support, prayers, notes, cards, gifts, emails, texts, calls, meals & treats. ;)  We are blessed to have such a kind, caring and compassionate support network surrounding us across the country.

Sometime during the week of September 27, 2021 Mark's journey came to an end.  While we will never really know exactly what Mark was thinking, we're comforted by the fact he tried his very best to live with the constant pain in his life and was seeking a permanent end to it.  May he rest in peace and tranquility knowing he was loved immensely and was considered an inspiration to others.
