Mark Leyhe

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.  Mark was diagnosed just before Christmas with Pancreatic  cancer stage IV.  He remains at home with Patty caring for him.  A port was placed shortly after Christmas and chemotherapy was started.  The first treatment went well, and he received steroids along with the chemo and felt good after.  The treatments following have not gone as well and he tires very quickly.   Our  main focus is for Mark to be comfortable and with as little pain as possible.  A nerve block around the pancreas was done  to help with relieving some of the pain.  Jerry  and Mark and their families have been able to come up and visit and offer support for both Mark and Patty.  Please keep Mark and Patty in your prayers.  I will continue to update Marks journal so friends and family can keep informed of how he  is doing.  Thank you for visiting Marks caringbridge.
