Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your prayers and words of hope and encouragement, and we'll be reading all the messages to Mark.
On Monday, March 2nd, Mark was in a mountain biking accident, where he injured his spinal cord and was immediately paralyzed. He was thankfully quickly found by a fellow biker and sent to the trauma center at Inova Fairfax, where after an MRI, he was sent into surgery. We will post updates as we have them, but for now, we ask that you join us in praying for his recovery. Praise God that he was able to breathe on his own, and now we're praying for him to totally regain all function and mobility of his body.
Almighty God our heavenly Father, we beseech Thee graciously to comfort Thy servant Mark in his suffering, and to bless the means made use in his cure. Fill his heart with confidence, that though he be sometime afraid, he yet may put his trust in Thee; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. [A prayer from the Book of Common Prayer]
