Mark DeMateo Mark's Momentary Trial

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.  Cancer has reared it's ugly head in our family again.  Mark was diagnosed with Colon Cancer on August 31st. Mark has been having intestinal issues for a short time. Medications, test, etc. were performed.  A colonoscopy was scheduled on August 31, 2018, to rule out any problems in the colon. Well, instead of ruling out, they found a tumor. The Dr. said that he was sure it was cancer but a biopsy was taken for confirmation. September 4th it was confirmed. Since then, there has been a flurry of appointments, test and the like to prepare us for treatment. A CT scan confirmed Stage 4 cancer in the liver, kidney, and colon.  This journal will help to keep you updated from this point on.  II Corinthians 4:17-18 says: "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.  So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."  We have loved, served and trusted Jesus since our teen years...and we trust Him now!!  We want everyone to journey with us especially in prayer....so we hope to keep this journal updated regularly!
