Mark was admitted through the ER to UF Health Shands of Jacksonville on Friday, May 6th with a lung mass and several more in his brain.  Over the past week it was determined that he has lung cancer that has spread to his brain, liver, stomach and bones.  The masses in the brain area are the ones the doctors are concentrating on at this time.  They want to get the brain swelling under control before beginning to move forward with radiation and chemotherapy treatment at this time.

Mark has a positive attitude about his situation. I will try to keep this site current as we are updated at the hospital. Thank you to the many of you who have reached out to us. This is all so new and I am not sure what all we are up against.  We are taking this one day at a time for now and I appreciate each and every one of you for your love and support.
