Our journey actually started back in February of 2019, when I discovered a small lump on the side of my neck. After a number of tests and visits with doctor, I was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma Cancer of head & neck. We were told it was fairly common and treatable. After a few more tests, we were informed, by our ENT specialist in Corpus, that it was in a location that he was not comfortable in operating. We were referred to one of the top ENT Doctors located in Houston, TX., Doctor Ron Karni - Chief of Head & Neck Surgery for the UT Physicians group.
