Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Mark was in a 4-wheeler accident on November 1st, 2017. Luckily he was awake. God blessed him with a friend and neighbor calling which alerted him of the location of his cell phone.  He was able to call 911. The EMTs brought him to Cozad Community Hospital where he was met by his wife and daughter.  When he arrived he was talking, had feeling everywhere, and could move a couple of toes on his right foot. He was flown to Good Samaritan hospital in Kearney.  The first CT showed a fractured thoracic and lumbar spine. He also had a fractured rib and fluid on his right lung. On November 2nd he had a surgery to decompress his cervical spine.  He came through surgery well and was awake that night teasing the nurse. He was also abundently thankful to hear that the wonderful neighbors had finished the harvest. On November 3rd an MRI of his lower spine was completed and showed a bruise on his thoracic spinal cord. That night his family decided that a transfer to another hospital was necessary.  That night he could not keep his oxygen levels up so he was given a bipap machine to help him breathe. On November 4th he had complications with his breathing but made it to Omaha safely. The whole family is so very thankful for the care and support we have been shown during this difficult time.  All prayers are greatly appreciated.
