Our journey started in late August, when Marjorie went to her yearly physical and the results showed that her blood counts were down. We were told to see an oncologist. In late September he ordered a bone marrow biopsy. On October 5th, Marjorie was diagnosed with MDS, we sought treatment with a nutritionist knowing chemo was a very strong poison. In January, her condition worsened and we returned to the oncologist, and she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and admitted to Siteman Cancer Center on February 23rd.
Marjorie received a bone marrow transplant on June, 27th, 2017 from her brother who was a 100% match! She is now recovering at home. Please check out the journal entries below to keep updated on her progress and know how to support and pray for her! Thanks for visiting Marjorie's Caring Bridge, your prayers, and support this far. It has been such a visible expression of God's blessings to us through His church and encouragement!
