In mid July I started with a random upper GI bleed for a few days. On August 3rd, I had an Upper and Lower GI scope - which showed a cancerous mass. I met with my oncologist and surgeon on Aug 6th to make a plan. I have Stage 4 Transverse Colon Cancer which has metastasized to my Liver and Lymph Nodes. I will be starting Chemotherapy on September 1st, and in the meantime getting all the things done in prep for that.
I’m not quite sure what life is going to look like over the next 4 months, but I will absolutely need support. You can find the meal train sign up on this site as well as a Go Fund Me Link. I prayed long and hard about this but I know God has placed people in my life to help me through this trying time and I promise to pay it foward. Other forms of support will be prayer, suggesting movies and TV shows to watch, uplifting mantras/affirmations, yoga classes, and we will see what else we think up.
