Welcome to my CaringBridge site. I created it to keep friends and family updated on my continuing journey battling colon cancer. It has been one year since I finished that first six months of chemo. I was scheduled to have the "first anniversary" CT scan to check to see if everything was good. Turns out I have some metastasized colon cancer in a lymph node. The result is another round of Chemo Therapy with a different drug protocol. I plan on continuing to live every day of my life. 😍😍😍 Dealing with this inconvenience, laughing and loving every day. Please join me on this adventure. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most. NEW INFORMATION Sept 27/22 In April 2022, after celebrating 5 years of what I thought were cancer free CT scans, I discovered that the pathology reports fro 2014 onward were tracking a few cancer cells in a lymph node adjacent to the main mesenteric vein , behind my belly button for reference, they were not totally destroyed with the 3 sets of chemo and one radiation. I did not have access to this pathology report until May/22 when my current oncologist ordered the reports. By the time we found this tumor surrounding my vein, making it an extremely risky surgery. So I am in chemo again, a little more than half done. The chemo is the same drugs. I am told that they are working because the cancer cells are active now and we’re dormant way back in 2014-17. A recent CT scan shows the tumor is shrinking so I am hopeful that this will be the perfect time to be finally cancer free. Please know that I appreciate all of your kindness, prayers, energy healings, love and support. I am uplifted by every text, email or phone call.
