So some of you may be wondering what I've been up to....

On April 19, I traveled from Boston to Sapporo, Japan to see my family. Unfortunately I've been having bad coughs for a while now and the trip ended up bring pretty taxing on my body. As a result, I ended up going straight to the hospital the day after I arrived.

I stayed in the hospital getting various scans and tests done and finally got my results on April 28. It was at that point that the doctors told me that I have stage 4 small cell lung cancer. I started chemotherapy the next day.

I'm happy to be with my husband, daughter and grandson who flew in from Boston, and family and friends in Japan who are stopping by. They've been a tremendous support and I'm happy to have them at my side as I go through this process.

Some of you I probably haven't talked to in a long time. Others, I probably have stopped communicating all of a sudden as I started my treatment.  Either way, if you're reading this, I would love to hear from you and see how you're doing.  Otherwise, feel free to check in on this website as I'll be posting updates as my treatment progresses.

Your well wishes and positive energy are welcome!

Love,
Connie
