Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer the week of Nov 27. What we know is that it is two different kinds of cancer, one kind is stage one and the other kind is stage two and has spread to two surrounding lymph nodes. They say that the kind of cancer that is stage two is a kind that spreads fairly easily, but is not the most aggressive kind of cancer. So they are wanting to do an aggressive round of chemo to kill any cancer that might be in her body. They are planning to give her four different kinds of chemo, one treatment every three weeks for eight treatments, so 24 weeks total, and then they will do surgery. The doctors say they are glad it's still in the early stages and it is a good prognosis so we are thankful for that.... thanks for your prayers and support as we start this journey.
