It's irony in the making. For the last many years Marilyn has had her annual physical and the constant reprieve from her doctor is "I can't make any money on you". After all she has the genetic predisposal for a long and healthy life. You can imagine her alarm when a small stomach ache in Florida turned from a Hiatal Hernia to Diverticulitis to CANCER. That just doesn't happen to someone dressed like a rainbow with perfect genes. Within less than 8 day we went to Atlanta for our granddaughter's wedding, left Florida, shipped the car back to Cincinnati and were home. Without four wonderful kids taking care of the details, don't know what we would have done. Surgery has been scheduled for May 31st at the University Hospital in Cincinnati. She's been the caretaker for her husband Fred for over 30 years and now they just have to switch roles. After all 2 weeks after surgery she's going to celebrate their 58th anniversary. We will update you through this site on her recovery and healing. Knowing all of the people that love her on our team will help us to get through this.
