Welcome to our CaringBridge page. John and I will use this to keep family and friends updated in one place about my progress. In January, I had a suspicious mammogram and after other testing and a biopsy it was determined that it was breast cancer. This kind of breast cancer is called "triple negative" which means it is more aggressive than the kind of cancer that can be treated with hormone therapy. I was fortunate to be able to receive care from a wonderful oncologist here in Chico. He determined that the best course of treatment for me is chemotherapy for at least three months and then surgery to follow. I don't have a lot of energy and the treatment will likely really deplete me. John has been carrying a lot and is not so comfortable in the kitchen. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement and anything you might be able to do to provide us with meals as well as rides to treatments when John is unable to do that. The thing that would be most helpful right away to have meals provided as I go through this treatment. You can click on the "planner" icon above to sign up for meal preparation as well rides when needed. Thanks for visiting our page and thank you so much for your generosity, kindness and caring.
