Friends and Family:  As you have probably heard, our mom has Stage 4 Lung Cancer, technically an ‘adenocarcinoma of the lung’.  Her DNA foundation material came back with a match for an immunotherapy treatment called Keytruda.  The goal of Keytruda would be to shrink the cancer (perhaps even sending it into remission), which would eliminate the symptoms she has.  Unfortunately, those symptoms—primarily severe nausea—have made it very difficult to hold any nutrition down. She has been in the hospital now for over a week as her clinicians try to address a variety of factors preventing her from gaining strength.

Mom’s situation changes frequently, so we won’t be updating this every day.  But we will try to let you know how she is doing as we are able. We know you care, and we are so grateful for all of your support in this difficult time.
Love,

Mary, Dave, Doug and Paul
