Hello Everyone,  and welcome to Margaret's (or "Tiger" depending on which constituency you belong to) care page.   I created this page after attempting to email updates to all the different people she knows.  There are at least 10 different communities that  she inhabits and have come to love her dearly:  the Van Cleve family, the Rocchio family,  the Paulist Center Boston,  the Boston Public Schools Health Services, the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center, our neighborhood,  the kids' schools (Roosevelt, Mason, and Everett),  the Trotter School,  Rutgers and Rutgers Catholic Center friends, and our New York City Liturgy group (with satellite branches in many locations!).  Trying to stay on top all that email was more than could be handled.

So, for the 3rd time in her life, Margaret is battling cancer. This is a recurrence of the breast cancer that she was diagnosed with in 2011.  The cancer is in the spinal fluid and it is wreaking havoc with her mobility.  That's the bad news.  The good news is that the cancer seems to be contained within the spinal fluid,  it is very non-aggressive, and is very susceptible to chemo therapy.  These cells have most likely been in the spinal fluid from when she was first diagnosed with breast cancer--that's how slow growing they are.   That's the good news.  So, while this is going to be yet another grueling path to health, the prognosis is very good.

It's going to be another long journey, so the real reason I created this page is that she will need a lot of love and support, and I know there is a lot of love for her out there--I just needed to find a convenient way to bring it all under one roof.  So please send her messages when you can,  and I will send updates to keep everyone in the loop.
