As many of you know, Margaret underwent a subtotal colectomy in 2020 to remove colon cancer found during a routine colonoscopy. However, in December 2021 Margaret went to the emergency room for severe pain and was soon diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that had metastasized throughout her body. Throughout the last month and a half she has had several appointments, radiation treatments, and emergency room trips. 
Most recently on February 1st she was admitted to the hospital with severe steroid-induced hyperglycemia and a compression fracture in her back from one of the tumors. After several days in the hospital separated from her loved ones and facing the reality of her diagnosis, she has made the brave decision to stop all curative treatments and focus on her comfort only. Her main goal is to spend as much time with her family and loved ones as possible. Currently, her family is looking for an adult care facility where Margaret can have visitors and get the level of assistance she needs. 

Margaret is the best wife, mother, friend, sister, and nana we could ask for and we are using this site to update her family and friends in one place. We appreciate all of your love and support during this time. Margaret will be able to read any comments and well wishes people post so feel free to share stories, memories, and words of hope for her and her family.
