First thing, thanks for all the love, prayers and concern, Rick and I truly appreciate it. Please keep them coming, I'm gonna need them.
What I have is triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma. It's an aggressive breast cancer, but I am going to be aggressive back!! I will be off work at least 6 months.
I have an amazing team of doctors at Hoag Hospital and feel very confident in them. Chemo begins next week (11/7). It's 20 weeks total, two types every other week for the first 8 weeks, then another type once weekly for the next 12 weeks. Approximately 4 weeks after that I'll have my surgery, then radiation.
Rick has been so incredible. My girls have been incredible, I am blessed!
Once things get underway we will have an idea about visiting. Rick and the girls will keep you updated.
