Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Marc went in for a routine physical shortly after his 45th birthday. During his physical, the doctor heard what she thought was an innocent murmur and ordered an echocardiogram. Three days later, we received a call that there were some issues with one of Marc’s valves, and we were referred to a Cardiologist.
The cardiologist told us that Marc has a congenital heart defect, that has gone undetected until now. His heart is operating at 37%, has severe aortic stenosis, and damage to a large part of his descending aorta. On Wednesday, December 12th, he will have open heart surgery to replace the aortic valve, remove the aortic aneurysm, and repair the aortic root.
We know that he is in great hands with his cardiac team, and very fortunate to be able to have this repaired. Please keep Marc and our family in your thoughts and prayers, as we walk this journey.
