At the end of September, Marcus had some abdominal swelling and discomfort, which they were told was due to constipation.  On October 10, he went back to the Dr. because of worsening abdominal swelling and pain. On October 12, a CT scan found a 17 cm mass in his abdomen.  They were sent to the castle at Sanford and he was diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma, which is a form of Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.  Marcus started chemo on October 14.  Please pray for strength for Marcus and his family!

Below is the link for the Go Fund Me page that has been established for the family.  The money raised will be utilized by the family to help cover all the additional expenses they will encounter over the next year battling this illness.  The anticipated treatment plan will consist of 1 week hospital stays every 3 weeks (2 weeks at home, 1 week at the hospital) over the course of the next year.
