Welcome to Caring Bridge.  We are using this website to communicate with our family and friends.  We do not promote nor discourage contributions to the Caring Bridge organization, but any solicitations you receive are from Caring Bridge and not Marc Smith or his family.

MEDICAL UPDATE:
In early September Marc had  blood work done to determine the cause of his recent lack of stamina, shortness of breath, and moments of dizziness. The lab report indicated low platelet and red blood cell counts, which prompted a bone marrow biopsy. The biopsy revealed that Marc has Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and also Multiple Myeloma. These are both cancers of the bone marrow. The AML is the most concerning since it is the more aggressive of the two diseases.

Marc is in Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver for treatment, currently consisting of chemotherapy and blood transfusions. Our trust is in God, who is always loving, merciful, and never changing. Infirmity is never from Him, but is the result of living in an imperfect and sinful world. Our expectation is for complete healing. We welcome your prayers.
