Mara was diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia on July 5, 2018, a disease of the bone marrow that causes her marrow to essentially stop making blood cells. It is not survivable without treatment but most people are able to be treated and cured. To keep family and friends updated we thought it best to set up this site so we can update in one place. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for the thoughts, prayers and support. It is truly appreciated.
