Mandy Lenhardt Maietta With you all the way!

Mandy was admitted to the hospital for the second time in the past few months on April 23rd.  She was having breathing issues, a dry nagging cough, and  stomach problems. Mandy was transported by ambulance and her O2 stats were dangerously low.  She was admitted to the ICU and was intubated and sedated.  Initial thoughts were that Mandy continued to have infections from her last hospital stay. Mandy remained in intensive care for several days, and was then transferred to a critical care unit.

For the first two weeks in the hospital Mandy was being treated for Covid like symptoms, with the Covid related team, draining her lungs and trying to maintain her vitals.  The bacterial infections were thought to be very drug resistant. Mandy’s entire right lung along with surrounding areas were filled with fluid. She was tested for Covid-19 and the test  came back negative, however, for the first few weeks of her stay she was being treated for Covid like symptoms.   Mandy has continued to have liver, kidney and lung problems. She has been battling a horrible cough with a fever off and on. She is being managed by a critical care team.
