Welcome to MamaStrong - we're glad that you are here!  We are using this to keep family and friends updated in one place, trying to minimize individual text messages and her sense of guilt associated with the need to reply (wouldn't we all be that way?!) :-)




We live in one another's company for a reason.  We live better because of others' presence and contributions to situations and events affecting us all and equally benefit by our positive involvement in each others' lives.  We need one another to diffuse the pain and challenges in our lives and by sharing, we lesson the weight on a single pair of shoulders.  Sharing also reminds us that none of us is burdened in ways unfamiliar to others.  Every aspect of life promises more meaning when shared and this chapter in Amy's life is no exception.  This site will help us share updates with all and provide each of us with a way to send Amy love and encouragement.




As you know, Amy has been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer and has started chemotherapy.  Currently, she is in week 4 of 20 treatments and fighting strong every week!  The "plan" is for blood check on Monday with chemo each Tuesday.  Hardest setback for Amy is having a treatment "plan" in her head, only to be changed by her bodies' response.  She already has her eye on the end game and delays change this date.   This week, her white blood cell count was low again, so her chemo treatment for tomorrow has been postponed.  Please continue to send positive energy and prayers to Amy for high white blood cell count!  Through the changes to schedule, Amy remains strong and inspiring - her energy is seriously contagious!  If you're wondering about her hair...she has decided to be brave, bold, and beautiful as a sexy bald mama!  Seriously though, all you see is her infectious smile and beautiful soul; she is as gorgeous as ever! :-)
