Laura recently let us know that she's "come down with a touch of cancer."
I think that sucks.  You too?  You're in the right place.

So here's how things unfolded:

In April, the cruelest month, breeding lilacs out of the dead land, mixing memory and desire... er, sorry.
Starting again:
Early April, La found a lump during a late-night boob-scratch.  (scratch scratch..."What the hell is that?")

Smart girl that she is, she promptly scheduled a mammogram (April 18) which provided results that were inconclusive due to her having dense breasts (insert density joke of choice). An ultrasound (April 26) came next, which showed an "area of concern", so a biopsy was done.  The results came back (May 4) positive for Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma.

Laura's excellent breast cancer adventure begins...
