Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most. Please join us on Team Mahlon!

Mahlon's story is tragic and yet he is persevering through this difficult time with his loving quirky techno personality. Mahlon lost his mother, disable Navy IT, Alaina O'Quinn, on July 26, 2015. A few months later on Oct. 5, 2015, Mahlon was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.

Despite all of Mahlon's trials, he still brings a smile and laugh to the face of everyone he meets. Mahlon has been matched with a donor and is set to enter the bone marrow transplant unit at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas on February 28, 2016. His courageous heart has been damaged by the three rounds of chemotherapy he has recieved since October but we have faith his courageous heart will triumph through the difficult transplant process scheduled for February 28, 2016.

Please consider supporting Mahlon through this battle with cancer and alleviate a small portion of the financial burden of travel, lodging, and medical bills at this difficult time. Your prayer, support, and encouragement is greatly appreciated! You can help Mahlon by donating here on Care Bridge or on Mahlon Hardt's Go Fund Me site. Mahlon also has an update page on Facebook called Help Mahlon Kick Leukemia's Butt.
