Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Mae took a fall in her home while putting firewood in the wood stove on Thursday Sept 26, 2019. This caused her to fracture her pelvis bone. She was able to get herself to her chair where her phone was. She was able to reach her niece Dorleen who was 30 minutes away. When Dorleen arrived, she called 911 and Mae was transported to Mck-Willamette  Hospital. After x-rays and a CT Scan, it was confirmed the fractures were in the pelvis and not the hip. Thank goodness, because it it were the hip, the Dr was stressing surgery. She was admitted to the hospital where she spent 6 nights and then Oct 2nd  was transported to Creswell Rehabilitation Center. It's not known how long the stay will be. I'm guessing 4-6-8 weeks.  For her age of 93, it could take more than 3 weeks for the fracture to heal with limited pain. She has been getting some PT while in the hospital; however, that will increase now that she is at the Rehab Center.
