Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. In Dec. Madison discovered an enlarged lump above her right collar bone. After a biopsy in January, Madison was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. The prognosis is very good, and we are hopeful that post treatment she will be Cancer Free. But we still have a bumpy road to get there. Her treatment plan is 5 rounds of chemotherapy on 21 day cycles, and possibly radiation afterwards. Then a restful summer to recuperate before her senior year. She has already completed one round of her chemo, and we are back today at Nationwide Children's for round #2. We will be getting chemo for next 3 days. 2/19-21, then back on day 8 for another chemo infusion. She survived round one without any transfusions, so hoping for her body to rebound strong again this round. As a result of her immune system being compromised, she is doing the rest of her junior year remotely. She has to give her dance shoes a rest for the next 4 months or more. But she is keeping her spirits high, and looking forward to this being over. Her friends and family have surrounded her with love and support, which we are so grateful. Thanks to her Marjorie Jones family for the gift baskets filled with loving thoughts and surprises. So many people have reached out to offer meals and help of any kind and again thank you !!Keep Madison in your thoughts and prayers.
