Maddie is an outgoing, sporty freshman at Mona Shores High School in Norton Shores, Michigan. On October 1st, 2020, she was admitted to the pediatric ICU at DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids for a life-threatening condition caused by a large mass in her chest. On October 5th, that mass was identified as primary mediastinal B-cell lymphoma. Thankfully, doctors expect her to fully recover after about 6 months of chemotherapy.
