Welcome to our CaringBridge site. I set it up to replace my old blog. In a nutshell, Mac just graduated from high school, got accepted to Rice University and then applied for a gap year. Everyone who has followed our 7 year roller coaster ride with Aplastic Anemia knows that he has lived a normal life, but his CBC's have been far from normal since his diagnosis and initial treatments in 2009. So the time has come for a bone marrow transplant. Big risk, big reward. He has a matched unrelated donor, a 23 year old male.
