Dear friends and family.  As some of you know, on January 2nd we learned that Lynn's breast cancer has returned.  The last six weeks have been full of medical testing, genetic testing, and prayer.  We were comforted to learn that the prognosis this time around is very encouraging compared to 14 years ago.   On February 20  Lynn underwent a mastectomy (right side) .  The surgery was very well completed and the reconstruction process started immediately by a great team.  Both doctors were pleased with the outcome.  We are grateful for two wonderful physicians who performed these procedures.  We are also most grateful that the attendant pathology testing of the sentinel lobe revealed no cancer in Lynn's lymphatic system.  So, we feel confident that we caught the cancer early this time  and there is reason to be very hopeful of long-term success.  Still the ordeal  since early January has been emotionally taxing , and  the procedures themselves create some significant pain.  After two nights in the hospital, Lynn is recovering now at our home, but still fighting the pain and stress.

We are thankful for all the prayers, support and encouragement.  We already are looking ahead, and planning some fun for the spring, including a trip to San Diego to visit John Paul.   We will keep you posted on Lynn's progress.  Please continue the prayers.  Thank you for visiting.
