Hello!  Thank you for visiting Lynne's site.  I'm a good friend of Lynne and I've set up this site with her permission to share updates on how she's doing.  This will also be a great place to leave messages of support or encouragement for Lynne to see.

Lynne was unexpectedly admitted to the hospital on January 7th after a test revealed a tumor in or near her heart.  The tumor had grown so large that she was at risk for what could have been a very damaging heart attack.  As a result, the doctors would not let her leave the hospital that day.  Further testing then revealed and confirmed malignancy in a tumor located in her abdomen.  At this time more testing is being done, but the two tumors appear to be unrelated and doctors expect the heart tumor to be benign.  Doctors are currently planning for two surgeries that will occur over the upcoming months, including an open heart surgery.  

While the road to recovery will certainly be longer than she had planned, Lynne is trudging through this with grace, courage, and that laugh and smile that we all know and love.  She welcomes visitors and phone calls.  Although she sometimes takes a while to respond, she is getting your messages and appreciates the outpouring of love and support.
