Lynette Lombard

First post: Feb 20, 2022 Latest post: Nov 13, 2023
Some time in January, Lynette began experiencing difficulty expressing herself in speech and writing. On Sunday February 13, a trip to the Galesburg ER and a CT scan revealed a mass in her brain. After initially seeing a neurosurgeon in Peoria, we traveled to Rush in Chicago, where Dr. Richard Byrne will remove the mass in surgery on Monday 21st.

We are fortunate that Lynette is strong and not in any pain. She will be taking a leave from teaching for the rest of this academic year.

We will use this page to update those who know and care about Lynette. We have already reached out to some of you; thank you all for your very necessary help and offerings. Also, we may have missed emailing others who should know about Lynette's situation. Please feel free to share the link to this page with them.

Lynette and I are blessed to a have wonderful network of such concerned and compassionate family, friends, and colleagues!
