After three months of doctor visits and numerous tests, it has been discovered that I have a cancerous mass in my right lung as a result of metastasis from the endometrial cancer surgery I had in 2009. It is believed a cell or two could have escaped into the lung and continues to be a slow growing cancer.
I went to my primary doctor asking to get to the bottom of a consistent cough. Immediately after UC Health had proof of this, I went to MD Anderson in Houston for a second opinion.
I have decided to live in Texas with Christi and Eric and will be treated at Anderson. I like the thoroughness of the facility. I hope to start chemo the beginning of August. My cancer is located in the chest area, so it often causes me to cough. Therefore, my best form of communication is through email, text, or regular mail.
My daughters have set up a Caring Bridge account so we can all keep in touch easily and post updates without taxing me too much during my treatment.
I thank you for your love and the compassion that you have always shown. I go into this with a positive attitude knowing that I have researched the best plan for me. I should be sad, but somehow that warrior attitude creeps in.
Sincerely,
Lynda
